The Yarnup pilot program runs this year from January 1 through to June 30, 2008. The focus is on schools in NSW to begin with. More than 30 schools are involved from right across the state:

KEY DATES FOR THE 2008 YARNUP PILOT PROGRAM



Please note: the following timeframes are a guide. A school can move through the program faster if they wish to. The program must be completed by Sept 10, 2008 however.


February 11- 29, 2008

Initial Phone Conference Calls  between the School Leaders and the Yarnup  Team.


February 16 - April 22, 2008    "TALKING THE STORY"


School Leaders organise their 'Kanyini' Film Screenings and invite their local Indigenous
Community to the event.


April 23 - May 15, 2008      "WALKING THE STORY'

The school students walk with their local Indigenous brothers and sisters on local country to understand history and the land through Indigenous eyes.


May 16 - Sept 10, 2008

The school students create a 'visual expression' of the growing relationship between the school and the local Indigenous community. Short films/photographs/artworks to be submitted to us by June 23. Please send to:

The winner of the competition will be announced !
